To create an pallatable wine thats easily enjoyed as home you will require 1.2 litres of Fruit (you can just about use any berry), 2 Cups Sugar, 1 Pack Yeast (preferably light yeast – the variety used in baking), 3.9 Litres of Water, a Colander, a Cheesecloth, 4 litre Jug or Container. And you will need to get an oak barrel. You can easily buy one online or from some wineries
To begin melt the sugar by dissolving it meticulously in 1 cup of hot water.
In the second step, we dissolve the yeast in two cups of warm water. The yeast will bubble a little if done correctly.
At the third step you need to combine your blend of cooled sugar-water to the fruit. Making sure you make the mixture as concentrated as possible because, this give the wine around twelve percent alcohol content.
In the fourth step of how to make homemade wine, you add the yeast. You must ensure that your mixture is reasonably cool otherwise the yeast won’t be effective.
Now in the fifth step, you the residual water in the jug.
Here we are at the last stage, cover and place the jug in a dark spot where no sunshine can reach the pot. After couple of weeks or so, you will need to strain the mixture through a colander. In the final step of how to make homemade wine, you decant the wine into the oak barrel and let it sit for a few weeks to age.
It can then be consumed straight from the cask if there is a tap or bottle and put in the cellar for enjoyment at a later stage.
